THE CERTIFIED PUBLIC MANAGER® PROGRAM – Designed to enhance the skills of high potential managers and develop California’s future public leaders. Building upon the Regional Management Academy as a prerequisite, the CPM program is an additional 200 hours of intensive, competency-based training which prepares managers to respond to the complexities of the highly charged political environment of public service. These hours include a final “Capstone” project that will address specific challenges at participating agencies.
Recognized by the National Certified Public Manager® Consortium, THE CENTRE is the only entity in California authorized to provide the CPM designation. Candidates will complete 6 two-day modules which will focus on: Personal and Organization Integrity, Leading People, Systemic Integration, Change Leadership, Public Service Focus, and Managing Work and Developing Self.
